Course description

This virtual classroom seminar is aimed at transactional property lawyers and will give you the confidence to deal with transactions where planning permission is being obtained as part of the transaction and CIL is or may be payable if permission is obtained.


Presented by Peter Foskett, head of commercial property at Royds Withy King, the topics discussed will include the inter-relationship between Section 106 Agreements and CIL, the steps to the introduction by a planning authority of CIL, and how to know whether CIL applies.


Charging schedules and calculations will also be explored, along with liability and trigger for payment, payment in instalments, exemptions and reliefs, drafting considerations, and more.
