This webinar will explore the Equality Act protected characteristics, and the recent consultation and rule changes that accompany the SRA’s wellbeing agenda and will consider how far we have come - and how far we may still have to travel - in our attempts to treat all people as equals.
It is presented by Trevor Hellawell, a highly experienced and popular speaker, who will discuss a range of pertinent topics including the basic legal obligations, and what constitutes harassment, victimisation, and unfair treatment of those who have a protected characteristic.
The ethical rules (the Standards & Regulations 2019 and the Codes of Conduct) will also be explored, along with examples of good and bad conduct in the workplace, recent examples of SRA enforcement action, the use of NDAs, and more.
