Course description
HMRC introduced Making Tax Digital for VAT in April 2019, as part of its plan to bring UK tax into the digital age. MTD will now be extended to almost all VAT registered businesses from April 2022.
MTD requires businesses to keep digital VAT records and use software to submit VAT returns to HMRC. It is intended to reduce the ‘tax gap’ attributable to taxpayer VAT errors, by encouraging better VAT record keeping and eliminating manual processes.
This webinar is for those new to MTD and for those already using MTD, who are looking to refresh their knowledge. It is presented by Robert Facer, who has over 25 years’ experience working in VAT.
