The greatest craft skills in animation are undoubtedly drawn and stop motion animation. This course introduces you to the use of computers, hand-drawing and digital cameras to create stop motion animated sequences. You will also learn the principles and history of animation, how to create 2D and 3D puppets and sets, how to plan and create movement, and how to work creatively with sound, light and cameras to create sequences that will impress. Through craft skills and drawing you will have brought animals and characters to life, and even made them speak: this is a most magical form of animation, and far from dead; it is rising in popularity again.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand the basics of timing for stop motion animation
