Course description
This course is designed for adults who want to improve theirEnglish skills, build their confidence and enhance employability skills. This course is free (fully-funded) for adults with the right to remain in the UK. We offer4 levels from Entry Level (for absolute beginners) to Level1. At Entry level youwill study1 day per week (3 hours) for approximately21 weeks. At Level 1, youwill study2 days per week (5 hours) for approximately21 weeks. You will learnto improve your writing, reading, speaking and listening skills.
Suitability - Who should attend?
You will have an initial assessment to assess your suitability for the course and so that you can be placed in an appropriate group according to your needs.

NCFE Functional Skills qualification in English.

You willimprove your writing, reading, speaking and listening skills in English. Our tutors are supportive, friendly and experienced and will work with you to help you reach your goals.
Course delivery details
Your development and progress in the course will be assessed on a regular basis both informally and formally. You will receive regular feedback from your tutors about your progress.At the end of the course you will sit a final assessment in Functional Skills English, either paper-based (Entry levels) or on-screen (Level 1).
Continuing Studies
When you complete the course you can go on to a higher level course, such as Progression to Further Study and Employment.
