Course description

Recent years have seen an increasing number of applications before the Home Office taking months, if not years, to be concluded. This is particularly prevalent in asylum cases, but we see lengthy delays in family applications, delays in issuing certificates of sponsorship and in decisions on nationality matters.

Recent changes to the immigration system in family and business routes have added to those delays and the protection and trafficking teams are now years behind schedule.

Presented by barrister Sandra Akinbolu, this webinar will offer a detailed look at the options available to those facing delays, and a step-by-step guide to challenging such delays. Consideration will also be given to what to do in cases of real urgency.
