This virtual classroom seminar will breakdown and explain the legal drivers that have resulted in the rise of ESG as an important area to all businesses and organisations. The live session will look at current legal developments related to ESG as well as practical tips and common misunderstandings.


Presented by Simon Colvin, head of the environmental law team at Weightmans, the topics discussed will include the evolving reporting frameworks in relation to carbon, natural capital and other resources, and the proposed EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and its impact in the UK and EU. The requirements of the Environment Act 2021 in relation to supply chain due diligence will also be explored, along with the advantages and opportunities the ESG agenda brings, and the legal framework and expected changes.
