The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, was founded in London in 1904 as the London Association of Accountants. It developed its professional premises from establishing a work code for accounting professionals to facilitate actual improvement of the global environment of accountancy and finance with prepared professionals and dedicated workers.

The most recent financial training scheme implemented by ACCA, Foundations of Accountancy, is increasingly popular among beginners in finances and advanced professionals based in the UK who want to improve their skills with the latest insight on the industry.

Why look into ACCA courses?

ACCA certification allows you to become a Chartered Certified Accountant, use the designatory letters ACCA, and work in any aspect of finance or management in any business. It is also proof that you possesses skills and knowledge which are in high demand by employers in industries such as, banking, auditing, consulting as well as other professions including taxation and law. ACCA courses teach not just specialist knowledge in finance and accounting, but will also gain valuable skills in organisational management and strategy.

Perhaps the most compelling reason for taking ACCA courses and getting ACCA certified is that the ACCA is the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body in the world, with over 320,000 members and students in 170 countries. This means that your certification will be internationally relevant.

What will you learn from ACCA courses?

Those who would like to become ACCA certified are required to pass 14 examinations. These exams are held in June and December, twice a year. Students can attempt as up to 4 exams at one sitting during each exam period. All exams must be completed within a period of ten years. One can prepare for these exams any way they choose. However, taking ACCA courses is a popular and effective way of preparing.

ACCA courses cover the many different areas covered by ACCA. They provide the opportunity to study with a qualified professionals who knows exactly what skills you will need to pass the exams. These courses are offered both in the classroom and online. Options are available to fit any schedule. Many of these ACCA courses may even exempt you from taking some of the exams. Check the course details to see their outcomes.

Things to consider in addition to ACCA courses
