Terrorism Studies
This Certificate in Terrorism Studies is a highly popular online programme dedicated to understanding terrorism and developing new insights into how people, infrastructure and entire organisations can be protected from terrorist threats.
Developed by the University of St Andrews' world-renowned Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, the distance learning programme focuses on providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the many complex and ever-present threats to security posed by terrorists. It is highly flexible and ideal both for professional development and as preparation for further study, giving candidates the option to complete:
- 4 modules for the Certificate in Terrorism Studies
- 8 modules for the Advanced Certificate in Terrorism Studies
- as many individual modules as required from the 12 available
Regardless of the option chosen, the training will give learners a series of critical skills to meet the challenges of counter terrorism by providing them with a unique understanding of the nature and causes of the threat.
