Suitability - Who should attend?
- You have a drama background (performer, teacher or just have a passion for drama) and are looking for a new direction.
- You are a dramatherapist or similar.
- You are a therapist, coach, counsellor or in the helping professions and realise there is more to confidence than talking. You would like to offer the Sunflower Effect Confidence Courses to your clients.
- You are inspired by the confidence-building effects of drama and want to pass this on to others.
- You would like to offer the Sunflower Effect Confidence Courses within your organisation.
It is important that:
- You have some understanding of what it is like to be shy, self-conscious and lacking in confidence.
- You are highly motivated to help people with confidence issues. You are good at supporting others. You are caring, grounded and enthusiastic. This will enable you to hold the space for people who have been struggling with confidence and don't believe they will ever change.
- You operate better within a team than working on your own. You want to be part of a bigger vision that is going to make a real difference in the lives of quieter people.
A pre-requisite for joining the course is to attend the Introductory Sunflower Effect Training Workshop, where you will be learning how to deliver an Introductory Session. This is essential when you are promoting your courses.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
After you have met the requirements for delivering the courses, you can apply to become a Licensed Sunflower Effect Confidence Specialist to deliver the courses and events you have trained for.
You can then:
- Join the team of Making Moves Sunflower Effect Confidence Specialists and set up your own practice offering the courses in your location.
- Offer the Sunflower Effect Confidence Courses to your existing clients, in parallel with your own work or within your organisation.
- Join the Sunflower Effect Marketing Programme giving you the know-how, tools and business support to build, in time, a highly successful practice and the opportunity to market your courses on the Making Moves website.
- The opportunity to train further and offer the full range of Sunflower Effect Confidence Courses.
Certification will be available at a later stage.
Training Course Content
The Sunflower Effect Foundation Confidence Course Leader Teacher Training will offer you:
- The deep understanding and skills you need to lead the Sunflower Effect Courses on your own, and/or the capacity to integrate the Sunflower Effect confidence-building system with your own work.
- A step-by-step guide to run the courses to a high level of competency.
- A very positive atmosphere for the growth and development of your facilitation skills in a supportive, friendly environment.
- The opportunity to make a profound difference to the lives of quieter people.
- The potential to build in time a highly rewarding career running the Sunflower Effect Courses and at the same time make a good income doing work that you really love
The Training consists of 6 weekends and 10 online training sessions.

Continuing Studies
After you have trained, you will also have the opportunity to train further:
- Train to lead the Finding Your Voice, a unique 12-week course to help people overcome their nerves when speaking in public or in social groups (3-4 weekends. plus online tutorials).
- Train to lead the I Don't Know What to Say! - 12-week Improvisation for Social Confidence Course.
- Train to lead the Breakthrough Plus Course - a powerful 2-weekend course - please note you will need to have counselling, therapy, or arts therapy background to lead this course.
- Train to offer Sunflower Effect Individual Sessions to work in depth with specfic confidence issues.
- Learn the fastest and most effective way of enrolling people on your courses through phone enquiries.
- Be part of the larger vision for the Sunflower Effect Confidence System
- Continuing professional development through annual gatherings to develop your skills
