When trustees decide to exercise a power of distribution from a trust this can often be the most important decision they make. It is important therefore that trustees and those that advise them are fully conversant with the relevant law and principles in this area.


Presented by expert barrister Andrew Willetts, this live and interactive broadcast session will provide you with the necessary legal and statutory tools to assist when exercising your powers. Topics discussed will include the classification of beneficial interests under trusts, the right to call in trust property, distribution generally, classification and exercise of powers (including appointment and advancement), and lawful departure from trusts so as to add or increase management or administrative powers (including s57 Trustee Act 1925 and The Variation of Trusts Act 1958).
