Why study?
Whether you have many years of senior management experience or are developing your career you will find the modules give you fresh ideas while developing problem solving networks for practical and research-based solutions. Our programme team of professionals from various disciplines support collaborative working between managers, service users and carers within multi-agency contexts to achieve service quality and effectiveness.
This is a part-time programme with university attendance (3 to 5 days per module) designed to fit into busy life schedules, with online learning and support around these days. Admission of individuals and teams are welcome to develop your work initiatives.
What you study
The programme will:Provide excellence in education which meets the leadership and management needs of those working in health, social care and related fields. Work with individuals to identify practical and research-based solutions for current leadership and management challenges in their areas of practiceFoster effective collaborative working between managers, service users and carers within multi-agency contexts through online and class-based activities to achieve service quality and effectiveness.
Entry Requirements
Applicants will normally:- have a recognised higher education honors degree (2:1);- be employed in a managerial role in the health or social care sector or are developing towards this;- have appropriate professional qualifications.The University of Leeds APL and APEL procedures may apply to exceptional applicants who do not meet the above critieria.
Modes of study and duration of the course
Starting each September, 12 Months Part Time.
Fees
Normal University of Leeds postgraduate fees apply. However, this programme may be funded for some NHS employees working in the area covered by the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority (see separate fees information). You should discuss your proposed study with your manager as you need your employer?s agreement to undertake the course and they maintain interest in your educational and professional development.
