Course description

Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment - 1-day course, open or onlineLevel 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment Course

This Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment course responds to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the consequent need for organisations to appoint an accountable 'responsible person' to undertake fire risk assessments in the workplace.

The 1-day programme provides this 'responsible person' with a sound understanding of the fire risk assessment process and the skills required to manage it effectively. By the end of the training, delegates will thus be confident in their knowledge of:

  • the importance of fire risk assessments
  • the principles of controlling risks from fire
  • how fire risk assessments should be undertaken

It is delivered as a public course, as online learning and as in-house training. Candidates who obtain this qualification can then progress laterally to Level 2 Awards in areas such as DSE and COSHH, as well as move on to the Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.

Suitability - Who should attend?

The Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment is suitable for professionals needing to undertake proficient fire risk assessments.

Outcome / Qualification etc.

Candidates who are successful in the assessment will be awarded the Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment.
