This course will introduce you to the interesting areas of fashion marketing, communications and public relations. You will undertake a field visit to stores or a shopping centre to undertake a competitor shopping activity and will present the results back to the class. The course includes: Types of fashion; Fashion calendar; Fashion weeks; Fashion segments and targets; Distribution strategies; The marketing mix; Press releases; Social media and its influence on fashion PR; Generating editorial coverage; Analysing and creating press releases; Press packs; Images to influence the media.
