The purpose of CPD standalone modules is to give practitioners either specialist clinical education, for example: Surgical First Assistant or Independent and Supplementary Prescribing. Alternatively, these modules give the student a flavour of studying at university and at higher academic levels.  

Undergraduate and postgraduate pathways will be formed of several specific CPD modules, these will be a combination of core (compulsory) modules and an opportunity to take one or more optional modules (programme dependent). It is important to note, that to be awarded the academic award, you must be registered on the chosen undergraduate/postgraduate pathway, rather than solely completing individual modules. With every pathway there is a designated programme leader, who will be happy to advise and support you to make the best choices to suit your learning needs.

For the 2022/23 curriculum, our CPD modules will be delivered using hybrid learning. This means that depending on the subject and content of learning and teaching, modules will mainly be delivered via a combination of face to face and online delivery, as this has worked really well for our practice-based colleagues. A couple of modules will be delivered solely online, however for most modules face to face contact time and attendance at the university will be required.
