Draw like a Design Pro
This is not an old-fashioned still-life drawing course.
Over the two days, you’ll learn how to draw and illustrate your own imagined designs and concepts, using drawing to refine and develop a three-dimensional form.
Freehand drawing is a fundamental skill of the professional designer.
It’s used extensively within the design industry to communicate an early idea and concept (before the computer aided design and modelling begins).
This course is therefore aimed at anyone involved in 3D art and design who would like to improve their drawing skills.
It’s ideal for product designers, furniture designers, automotive designers, architects, interior designers, jewellery designers, ceramicists and sculptors.
This course will also be relevant to anyone studying or planning to apply to a design subject at college or university.
On this course, you will:
- learn the fundamental drawing techniques used by professional designers
- be set 3D design brief to illustrate
- follow demonstrations and engage with informal lectures
- take part in group critiques throughout the course.
What will I gain?
You’ll leave with an excellent grounding in the drawing techniques used by designers, and have the ability to create beautiful perspective sketches of your imagined designs.
